Team Application - JoshuaClaytor
-Your Name and age
Joshua Claytor, 28
-How you found out about Team Unknown Stars
Scott Schauf, Ben Weinburg
-Your Magic accomplishments
14 PTQ Top Eights, 1 LCQ Win, 4 GP Day Twos, (Made money in 3 of them) 1 PT.
-The last three major tournaments you attended and your record at each of them (Major tournaments are considered to be large events such as PTQ's, Regionals, Champs, Nationals, the Pro Tour, and other events on those levels or higher.)
2008 Standard States 2-3 Played Fae started off 2-0, got ill at the start of round three and instead of dropping decided to see if I could play good magic while sick. It did not happen.
QT Kyoto 2008 0-1. My sealed pool was very weak, and instead of having a miserable day slinging cards, I decided to cut my losses and my drop with my deck full of 23rds.
QT Berlin 2008 4-2-1 8th place. Played Merfolk, with main deck Wake Thrashers, lost to Fae in the finals.

-Why you play competitive Magic
I enjoy being around my friends, meeting new people, the travel and the competition of playing the game.
-What your main reasons are for wanting to join the team
Since I am away from my friends in Louisville, I am looking for a way to network with other solid players.
-What you think you would bring to the team that makes you stand out above other applicants
A lot of play experince, I have been been playing tournament magic since 1999,
-What your strengths as a Magic player are
My strengths are in the 60 card formats. Being on MTGO on average 60 hours a week allows me to see a lot of hands, and a lot of attempts to break formats.
-What your weakness as a Magic player are
Limited. I have a hard time getting up to speed on the evaulation of new sets and the order of importance that cards should be placed in drafting.
-What the main formats that you play and focus on are
Block, Standard, and Classic on MTGO.
-Which format you think you're most proficient in
Block. the smaller card pool allows me to find the best cards quickly, and then allows me more room to expiriment within the format.

Minnesota (Invasion Block)
Atlanta (Standard)
Crap, I'm a dumb dumb.
Only two day twos both money finishes. I got confused looking into my personal history. I missed the cut at GP Columbus, GP Detriot and GP Tampa Bay on Tie breakers. My apologies.
