-Your Name and age
Casey Stewart, 21

-How you found out about Team Unknown Stars

Through regular conversation with Gavin and MTGSalvation.

-Your Magic accomplishments
Two top 8s at PTQs, with 1 win and a half dozen top 16's. Day 2 and money at GP:Kansas City. I only recently became active on the competitive scene.

-The last three major tournaments you attended and your record at each of them (Major tournaments are considered to be large events such as PTQ's, Regionals, Champs, Nationals, the Pro Tour, and other events on those levels or higher.)

PTQ-Kyoto, Japan-11-01-08-1st with a record of 9-0-1.

GP:Kansas City-Day 2 Combined record 9-5-1-49th place.

PTQ-Berlin-Dallas, TX-06-28-08 finished 8th with a 6-2-1 record.

-Why you play competitive Magic

To travel while playing a game I love. I live for the big competitions and high stakes matches.

-What your main reasons are for wanting to join the team

Locally there is a lack of player quality, and in order to broaden my horizons and meet other good players I feel like the team is the next logical step. Plus everyone knows Team Unknown is the best.

-What you think you would bring to the team that makes you stand out above other applicants

I am decent with special fitting sideboards for decks, and always willing to try new decks on and report back any findings.

-What your strengths as a Magic player are

My confidence in myself and my ability to outplay/trick opponents.

-What your weakness as a Magic player are

My technical playing isnt quit where I want it to be due to low local player quality.

-What the main formats that you play and focus on are

I focus on the main PTQ/PT/GP format is. I also play around 3-5 drafts per week minimum of the current draft format.

-Which format you think you're most proficient in

I am close to equally proficient in both, my rating does not currently reflect that however.

Met this guy through another friend of mine. He was kind enough to share his knowledge and input on the Shards sealed format. I would recommend him to the team. I think that he would be a great asset and he eat, sleeps and breathes magic.

After careful consideration and discussion, you have not been chosen to be added to the team at this time. Team Unknown Stars is always looking for new members, so if you are still interested, you may reapply after 30 days have passed.

Thank you,

Gavin Verhey
